I'm back from a summer of touring Europe with Kultur Shock. Played some great gigs with The Tiptons Sax Quartet & Drums on the West Coast. Zemog El Gallo Bueno has signed a contract with Mr Bongo of Bristol, England to release "Nueva York Sessions". Look forward to touring with the band in the Spring of '09. I'm excited to get back in the saddle with Slavic Soul Party! Looking forward to a somewhat more mellow Fall after a very busy and intense Summer.........

Since moving to New York in September 2007 I've been busy playing with bands such as Slavic Soul Party! and Zemog, El Gallo Bueno. I've started a new ensemble with Jessica Lurie and Abraham Gomez-Delgado called Tunnel Trio that we're very excited about. It is a mix of slavic, klezmer, Puerto Rican and avante-garde Jazz influences! I'm excited to be doing a gig with Taylor Ho Bynum's Positive Catastrophe big band coming up at the Jazz Gallery in Manhattan. I'll be on tour with Kultur Shock for all of March and with The Tiptons Saxophone Quartet for a good part of April. Sonando, an Afro-Cuban ensemble I play with based in Seattle recently won the Earshot Jazz "Golden Ear" award for "Best Acoustic Jazz Ensemble" in Seattle. Also nominated were More Zero for "Outside Jazz" Ensemble and 'Shade', Richard Cole's record that I played percussion on. More to come......
